About
I was born on November 18, 1976 and raised in a small Texas town just
north of Austin, called Lampasas. At an early age, I was taught the value of an
education and the dedication and drive required to succeed. I graduated 2nd out
of 165 students in my high school class. While growing up, my parents instilled conservative fiscal
values which I have carried with me throughout my life. I was taught how
to save money, stay out of debt, and live life responsibly. I have lived
in central Texas most of my life, yet I have never owned a car with air
conditioning. It was considered an expensive "luxury" item. It is in these
tough times that fiscal responsibility is vitally important. In 3 years, I earned a BBA in Economics & International
Business from Baylor University. My first job out of school was at Dell Computer
from December 1999 to August 2003. That year, I left Dell and studied at
Vanderbilt University's Owen Graduate School of Business in Nashville, TN. I
graduated in May 2005 with an MBA in Finance and Human & Operational
Performance. After graduation, I worked at Deloitte Consulting as a Strategy &
Operations Consultant before rejoining Dell in October 2006. While at Vanderbilt, I met Mary Egley. We have been happily
married since July 2007. Both Mary and I are avid travelers. I have visited all
7 continents and over 40 countries. These travels have given me a unique
perspective on life. With experiencing different cultures and various forms of
government, I never take for granted the liberties and freedom bestowed on us by
our unique democratic government. I have a proven track record for reducing waste, increasing productivity, and delivering results. I am eager to bring my conservative values and experience to Washington as I represent you within the U.S. Congress. |
